Daily statistics
According to the Centers of Disease Control, https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/cases-in-us.html, the national confirmed COVID-19 cases increased from 776,093 April 20, to 802,583 April 21. There have been 44,575 deaths, up 2,817 from yesterday.
In New Mexico, confirmed cases rose from 2,072 April 21 to 2,210 April 22 (with 71 deaths) and 82 cases in Doña Ana County, with 9 new cases reported since yesterday.
In Texas, cases increased from 20,196 April 21 to 21,069 April 22, with 587 deaths. El Paso County has now confirmed 587 cases, up 47 from yesterday.
Information from Mexico is more difficult to track, but as of April 20, the state of Chihuahua has confirmed at least 155 cases and 36 deaths. Of those, Ciudad Juarez has had 121 cases, with 32 deaths. Nationwide, Mexico has reported 9,501 cases as of April 22, with 857 deaths and 2,627 recoveries.
Globally, 2,603,147 have tested positive, with 180,784 deaths and 701,426 recoveries.
