In the recent bulletin put out by the League of Women Voters, a liberal, partisan group in Dona Ana County, Ray
Jaramillo has taken to aligning himself with and quoting President Joe Biden. He says, “Don’t tell me what you value,
show me your budget, and I’ll tell you what you value.” Well, we have seen what Joe Biden Values and that is Socialism
within our Country. We know that the School Board has direct input to the school budget so why would we think Mr.
Jaramillo is concerned about the curriculum taught to our children. We have seen him embrace policy JBC a Critical Race
Theory filled Marxist / Communist document that would indoctrinate your children in a Communist direction. He fully
supports the new Primary and Secondary Standards of excellence, also filled with socialist ideas. He has failed in all
aspects to act as to what the majority of the citizens of Dona Ana County wanted and advocated for changing the name of
Onate High School. He and the board have also failed to provide any solution to Columbia Elementary. His tenure has
been one of constant failure. It is time to put someone that is truly concerned about our Children in office to serve on the
board. That someone is Abelardo Balcazar. He believes that curriculum and programs that have a clear and measurable
goal and directly benefits academic growth and achievement must be expanded. Mr. Balcazar is for the student and the
curriculum and not for socialist teachings within our school as is Mr. Jaramillo. I highly recommend Balcazar for District 1
School board Member. Mr. Jaramillo is wrong for the job.
