THOMAS BRANIGAN MEMORIAL LIBRARY

Make a Scene

Posted

Thomas Branigan Memorial Library presents “Make a Scene,” a two-day workshop visualizing and translating a predetermined scene from a book onto a canvas.

The library will provide canvasses and painting supplies. The April Scene will come from Delia Owens’ “Where the Crawdads Sing.” The group will read an evocative scene from the book and will have access to the text for reference to complete their canvas.

All levels of artistic ability are encouraged to attend, no judgment, just fun! This event will be from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 12, 2022, and April 13, 2022, at Munson Senior Center, 975 S. Mesquite St.

Participants are asked to wear a painting smock or clothes they do not mind getting paint on. Registration for this workshop is on the Branigan Library Event Calendar at https://las-cruces.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/2022-april/.

This program is for the 50-year old and older community and will be conducted in person at Munson Senior Center, 975 S. Mesquite St. Face masks are encouraged.
