Margarita Alba

Margarita Alba, long-time resident of Lordsburg, as well as wife, mother and grandmother, passed away March 5, 2021. Margarita was born Febr.1, 1949 to Juan Martinez and Maria del Refugio Chavez Martinez in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. Margarita was preceded in death by her mother, her father and her son, Oscar Alba.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Lorenzo Alba; her loving children: Lorenzo Alba, Jr. (Michelle), David Alba (Charlette), Veronica Lassiter (Roland Reed III), Adrian Alba and Alejandro Alba; and her grandchildren: David Joshua Alba, Selina Renae Muñoz, Ryann Krisanne Alba, Daniel Hood Alba, Roland Reed Lassiter IV and Oscar J. Alba. She also is survived by her siblings: Maria Antonia Rivera, Juan Francisco Martinez (Irma), Maria del Carmen Ochoa (Antonio) and Maria de Lourdes Brambila (Juan), with numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be David Alba, Alejandro Alba, Adrian Alba, Daniel Hood Alba, Roland Reed Lassiter III and David Joshua Alba. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Alba, Jr., Roland Reed Lassiter IV and Oscar J. Alba.

The Holy Rosary and Funeral Mass were conducted in limited services at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lordsburg and the burial was at Shakespeare Cemetery.  Our family wishes to express our sincere appreciation for your thoughts and prayers and deeply appreciate your understanding.
