LifePoint Health ® has awarded Memorial Medical Center (MMC) with its 2019 companywide High Five Award for demonstrating excellence in healthcare delivery. It is the highest honor a LifePoint hospital can receive. The hospital also received the company’s Western Division High Five Award.
The High Five Award is given annually to one hospital from each of LifePoint’s four divisions. From these finalists, one hospital is chosen for the companywide High Five Award for extraordinary demonstration of the company’s High Five Guiding Principles, which include delivering high quality patient care, supporting physicians, creating excellent workplaces for employees, taking a leadership role in the community and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
In addition to the companywide High Five Award, MMC received a check for $150,000 to aid in its efforts of advancing the hospital’s mission of Making Communities Healthier®.
“We are thrilled to honor the outstanding team at Memorial Medical Center with this well-deserved honor for their extraordinary leadership and inspiring example of keeping our High Five Guiding Principles at the center of everything they do,” said Victor E. Giovanetti, executive vice president of hospital operations at LifePoint Health. “Their commitment to keeping these principles operationally in focus has enabled Memorial to reach new heights in providing quality care, while growing its business and creating new ways to engage with the Las Cruces community.”
Memorial Medical enjoyed a number of successes in 2019, including several designations for its quality care as well as enhancements to the services it provides to patients in the community.

The award was accepted by MMC’s leadership team on behalf of the entire hospital staff at LifePoint’s annual hospital leadership meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.
