More than 1,800 have voted early in Doña Ana County

The New Mexico Secretary of State’s office said more than 1,800 Doña Ana County voters have voted early in the June 2 primary, as of May 13. 749 Democrats voted by absentee ballot and 359 in person; 184 Republicans voted by absentee ballot and 508 in person; three Libertarians voted in person. Statewide, 7,779 Democrats, 3,623 Republicans and 37 Libertarians have voted by absentee ballot; 2,994 Democrats, 4,706 Republicans and 20 Libertarians have voted in person.

Thursday, May 28, is the last day to apply for an absentee ballot. Either use the absentee-ballot request form you get in the mail or visit https://portal.sos.state.nm.us/OVR/WebPages/AbsenteeApplication.aspx or www.donaanacounty.org/elections/elections-info and click on NMVote.org to apply online.

Consolidated early voting locations will open throughout the county on Saturday, May 16. The county government building, 845 N. Motel Blvd., has been open for early voting since May 5. Visit https://donaanacounty.org/elections for polling locations, voter registration and other information.
