Thomas Branigan Memorial Library invites you to a presentation on “What My Loved Ones Need to Know.”Join us at Branigan Library at 2 p.m. April 12, 2022, for a dynamic presentation and discussion by MaryKay Brady covering topics concerning National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD).What matters to you? What important healthcare decisions do you want to make for yourself? National Healthcare Decisions Day is an initiative to encourage people to express their wishes regarding healthcare and for providers and facilities to respect those wishes, whatever they may be. National Healthcare Decisions Day is acknowledged on April 16 and exists to inspire, educate, and empower the public about the importance of advance care planning.MaryKay Brady will present this program. MaryKay is retired from a 30-year career in banking but maintains a hectic volunteer life. Active with several hospice organizations as an end-of-life doula, MaryKay has presented several different topics related to death and dying with dignity. She has worked with the Las Cruces Action Team, which was instrumental in passing New Mexico’s medical aid in dying law.Registration is encouraged, but not required.
