NM State hosts a pair of conference basketball games Saturday, Jan. 14, in the Pan American Center.
The Aggie women play Utah Tech in a Western Athletic Conference game tipping off at 4 p.m. The Aggie men play Texas-Arlington at 7 p.m.
Since conference play began Dec. 28, the men’s and women’s teams have been headed in different directions.
The men were 7-9 overall and 0-4 in WAC play prior to their Jan. 12 game at Seattle, which ended after the Bulletin’s presstime.
The women won five of their last six games to improve to 8-8 and 3-1 in the WAC prior to their Thursday, Jan. 12, home game versus Sam Houston, scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. They defeated Utah Valley 63-57 in overtime Jan. 4, and beat Tarleton 61-43 Jan. 7.
The men lost to Stephen F. Austin 69-60 Jan. 4 and fell to California Baptist 70-61 Jan. 7.
