The New Mexico State baseball team saw its season come to an end with a 10-0 loss to Seattle University in an elimination game in the WAC tournament Friday afternoon in Mesa, Arizona.

The Aggies finished the year with a disappointing 20-34 overall record after enduring the challenge of playing a baseball season in a pandemic.

During this week’s WAC tournament, the Aggies started off with a 7-5 win over Seattle U in the opening round. NMSU then lost to top-seeded Grand Canyon University 5-4 in the quarterfinals after leading 4-1 after three innings.

That sent the Aggies back to the losers’ bracket where they lost to their first-round opponent in a rematch.
