NMSU Theatre Camp returns this summer

Posted

The New Mexico State University Theatre Department’s on-campus Summer Theatre Camp will return Sunday-Friday, June 7-12, for ages 13-18.

Thanks to a private grant, the cost is only $300 per student. There are limited additional scholarships available, based on financial need.

“This sleep-over theatre camp will include dormitory housing, all meals and a variety of classes ranging from characterization to scene study,” according to the NMSU Theatre Department website.

The week will begin with check-in at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 7, and culminate in a public presentation of work from the week at 6 p.m. Friday, June 12, at the ASNMSU Center for the Arts, 1000 E. University Ave.

Theatre Department Head Wil Kilroy is the camp’s artistic director. He will be joined in coordinating the camp by advanced NMSU theatre students and department alumni.

To apply, contact Kilroy at wkilroy@nmsu.edu.
