Organ Mountain High School Principal receives Tyson Brown Excellence Award

Posted

Organ Mountain High School Principal Jim Schapekahm received the Tyson Brown Excellence Award from the Las Cruces Home Builders Association (LCHBA) in January. “Together with LCHBA and our students’ work at Education House, Jim has helped create meaningful experiences for students who are interested in trade skills, LCHBA Executive Officer Nicole Black said. LCHBA was founded in 1964 and represents home builders throughout the Mesilla Valley. Its mission includes providing educational opportunities. LCHBA’s Tyson Brown Building My Future event helps “to inspire people to pursue careers in the skilled trades,” according to lchba.com/. LCHBA also sponsors Casa for a Cause, which began in 2014 and has contributed more than $400,000 to local nonprofits. Contact Black at 575-993-9288 and nicole@lchba.com.
