Woman released on bond rearrested for fraud

A woman who was in the process of being released on bond for allegedly failing to appear for a bench warrant was rearrested by Mesilla Marshalls investigative unit on multiple counts for fraud.

Denise Pedrazza Webb was arrested at the Doña Ana County detention center last week as she was being released with a $2,500 bond for allegedly failing to appear for a bench warrant. Mesilla Marshalls charged her with five counts of forgery, 11 counts of computer access with intent to defraud or embezzle and 12 counts of identify theft.

According to police, Webb opened bank, loan and credit card accounts and stole $10,000 after changing a person’s bank account information using a false driver’s license. She allegedly stole a car from a dealership using the fake driver’s license for identity in May.
