The Santa Teresa Charitable Foundation (STCF) will host the 21st annual Santa Teresa Charitable Golf Tournament, which will be held Friday, Oct. 1 at Butterfield Trail Golf Course in El Paso.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the tournament will start at 11.

The tournament is sponsored by more than 80 companies and organizations, said STCF President Jerry Pacheco in a news release. Major sponsors include El Paso Electric, Ironhorse Resources, VEMAC, Union Pacific, MCS, CN Wire, Global Perspectives Integrated and Pepsi.

This year’s tournament will consist of golfers representing the development, real estate and construction sectors of Santa Teresa, El Paso and Juarez, Pacheco said.

The entry fee for a foursome is $500 and $125 for an individual. All players will be provided with breakfast at registration and a tee bag with snacks, golf balls and goodies for the tournament. Dinner will be served during the award ceremony that will be held after the tournament.

The deadline to sign up is Friday, Sept. 17.

Tournament sponsorships ranging from $150 to $10,000 are available.

The golf tournament began in 2000. STCF was founded in 2014. It is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting educational efforts throughout New Mexico’s border region.

STCF has raised and donated more than $415,000 for Gadsden Independent School District for scholarships, school supplies, field trips, honors programs and Chromebooks, Pacheco said.
