Silver City Improv Presents an Improv Holiday Show

Posted

Looking for something completely different for your holiday entertainment, this year? Silver City Improv is taking over the Starlight Theater in Silver City, to present a wild and wicked improvised holiday show. Following the standard formula with a seasonal twist, actors trained in improvisation will make up scenes and carols based on prompts from the audience, ensuring that no two shows are alike. Buckle your seatbelts, it’s gonna be a lively sleigh ride!

"It’s kind of a build your own adventure show, in the sense that our scenes are heavily inspired by what the audience asks for on a given night," said Hallie Harris, who is directing this year’s event, "Our shows are usually high energy, lots of fun, and I can guarantee no two shows are the same. We’ve created this show for folks who want to make fond holiday memories with their loved ones—and for everyone who needs to get out of the house to escape their family!”

Silver City Improv’s Improv Holiday Show brings laughter to the season at 8 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays, December 19, 20, 26, & 27 at the Starlight Theatre, 1915 N Gold St, Silver City. $7 suggested donation at the door. Doors open half an hour before showtime. Running time is 60 minutes. A portion of the proceeds will support unhealthy habits for the cast and crew. Audience participation encouraged.
