Solstice Senior living food drive to benefit Casa de Peregrinos is open to the entire community

Solstice Senior Living at Las Cruces is continuing a nonperishable food donation drive through Friday, Nov. 20.

All the food items Solstice collects from its residents and other donors from through the city and Doña Ana County will be donated to Casa de Peregrinos emergency food program.

Anyone who donates five or more items will be entered into a drawing for a flatscreen television valued at $200.

Items most needed include canned meats, canned tuna and salmon, peanut butter, jelly (no glass jars), canned or dry soups, canned stew and chile, tea bags, ground coffee (no beans), canned pasta, canned vegetables, canned fruit, Spaghetti O’s, hot and cold cereals, rice, cake mixes, pancake mix, syrup, powdered milk, macaroni and cheese, juice boxes, canned juice, canned beans, spam, canned gravy, granulated sugar, baby food and cereal (glass jars are okay), baby formula (Enfamil/Similac), granola bars and cereal bars.

Take donations to Solstice Senior Living, 151 N. Roadrunner Parkway “to help fight hunger and show thankfulness by feeding those in need.”
