You can sponsor a singer or musician, a song and/or a show for the New Mexico State University Theatre Department’s production of “Broadway on Stage.”

The 90-minute show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the ASNMSU Center for the Arts, 1000 E. University Ave. Tickets are $20-$25. A reception will follow the show in the ASNMSU second-floor rehearsal hall.

“Broadway On Stage” is a musical revue highlighting what’s hot on Broadway right now, along with some traditional favorites from years gone by, performed by NMSU theater students, faculty and community members.

All sponsors receive two tickets to the show, get their names in the program and are included in announcements during the performance.

The show is directed by Lisa Hermanson, with Christa Fredrickson as musical director. NMSU Theatre Department Head Wil Kilroy is the emcee and Brian Theodorson is the featured musician.

Songs will include “Anything You Can Do” from “Annie Get Your Gun,” sung by Calvin Chervinko and Brianna Horvath; “Holding Out for a Hero” and “Footloose”; “I Got Rhythm,” from “Girl Crazy,” sung by Christa Fredrickson; “It’s Not About Me” and “Just Breathe” from “The Prom;” “She Used to Be Mine” and “When He Sees Me” from “Waitress: The Musical,” sung by Melis White; “Shy” from “Once Upon A Mattress,” sung by Susie Ouderkirk; “Summer Nights,” sung by Joshua Jackson, “Greased Lightning” and “Beauty School Dropout,” sung by Wil Kilroy, from “Grease”;  “Happiness” from “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”; “Loverly” from “My Fair Lady”; “Medley” from “Beautiful: the Carole King Musical;” “9 to 5” from the musical with that same name; and “You Will Be Found” from “Dear Evan Hansen.”

Other performers will include Della Bustamante, Christa Fredrickson, Meagan Higgins, the Cen10 Singers from Centennial High School and the Las Cruces Singing Out choir.

Sponsorships are available at $125 for a song, a musical, a singer, the musical director or the featured musician and $200 for either the emcee or the director.  Some songs and performers have already received sponsorships.
