St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 225 W. Griggs Ave., at the corner of Griggs and Alameda Street in downtown Las Cruces, will present the 11th annual Salute to the Armed Forces, an inspirational program of music and interview, presented online all day Wednesday, Nov. 11 at stpaulslascruces.com, on the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Facebook page and on You Tube at St. Paul’s UMC Las Cruces.
This event, titled “St. Paul’s Salutes Heroes-3,” is a production of St. Paul’s Music Ministry, headed by Dr. Douglas Weeks and Ms. Diane Schutz.
The focus of this year’s program is on some “unsung heroes” – military spouses and families. These heroes represent a number of wars and conflicts, sharing their stories in interviews.
The annual veterans’ salute “began as a wonderful way for our church and community to celebrate the vital role the military plays in our area and the many vets who have made the Las Cruces area their home,” Weeks said.
