The Range to host its first-ever El Camino Mercado

Posted

The Range, 3217 El Camino Road in Las Cruces, will host its first-ever “El Camino Mercado” vendor and food market, 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, April 23.

There is no charge to attend the event, which will include food trucks and local arts and crafts vendors.

There also will be an art class held during the mercado. All supplies are included in the class, which will be taught by Alyssa Trujillo. The cost of the class is $35, and tickets must be purchased in advance at therangelc.com/store. Art class sessions will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. and 8-10 p.m.

At the end of the art class, “you will be taking home your own acrylic masterpiece,” The Range said.

The Range co-founders Logan Sage and Josh Tellez are hopeful the mercado can become a regular event “for people to enjoy themselves,” Sage said. With a slogan of “We’re open late, so bring your date,” the event is “the perfect date night for all ages,” Sage said.

The Range event venue and recording studio opened in May 2019. “We work to provide an environment where artists of any medium can feel comfortable and encouraged to express themselves, and where members of our community can always have a good time,” Sage and Tellez said.
