YOUNG AT HEART CHORUS

Young at Heart Chorus postpones concert

Posted

The Young at Heart Chorus was to have presented a free concert March 26 at Good Samaritan Auditorium, 3011 Buena Vida Circle. The concert is being postponed to a later date due as a precaution, and to protect the health of the audience and the performers, said Young at Heart director Ray Scoggins. When it is rescheduled, songs of Irish and other cultures will be performed during the one-hour choral program, Scoggins said, including “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling,” “That’s Amore,” “Galway Bay,” “Spanish Eyes,” “Danny Boy,” “Santa Lucia” and many more. Young at Heart frequently entertains residents of assisted living and nursing homes in the Las Cruces area and has been in continuous operation since 1972, with the name of the group, the director, piano accompanist and venues changing through the years. For more information, contact Scroggins at 575-524-0511 and ray@scroggins.biz.
