The Kids Can Fiesta de la Primavera Youth Market and Business Contest will be held 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at Plaza de Las Cruces Downtown.
Local youth ages 6-17 are invited to plan, market and launch their own micro-business for the event.
A pre-market workshop will be held 2-5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico, 3880 Foothills Road.
All youth market entries will automatically be entered into the business competition. Booths will be judged by a selected panel of local business professionals on a variety of criteria, including the most original business idea, highest business potential and best presentation (creativity). Cash prizes will be awarded by category and age group.
The registration deadline is Wednesday, April 20, which will be extended until all spots are taken.
