The Mesilla Valley Fine Arts Galley (MVFAG), 2470-A Calle de Guadalupe in Mesilla, across from the Fountain Theatre, will feature local artists Naida Zucker and Bonnie MacQuarrie during October.
Zucker, a mixed-media artist who combines gelatin mono-printing (hectography) with digital photography, produces one-of-a-kind art pieces, MVFAG said in a news release. Zucker studied biology at Queens College, City University of New York, and zoology at the University of Illinois, Urbana, and is a retired NMSU biology professor.
MacQuarrie specializes in art tile. MacQuarrie’s largest installation of work, 12 benches and 18 pedestals, is permanently displayed on the grounds of the Oro Valley Marketplace in Tucson. Originally from San Francisco, MacQuarrie is a graduate of San Francisco State University. She moved to Las Cruces in 2013.

Morden earned his bachelor’s degree in art from the University of Oregon, studying pastels, drawing and architecture. Since moving to Las Cruces, he has focused on capturing light and shadow, along with design and composition, MVFAG said.
