Aggie soccer leading Conference-USA

Aggie women’s soccer: NM State finds themselves in first place in Conference-USA and Loma McNeese with C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honors and teammate Megan Ormson earning Defensive Player of the Week. This follows the Aggies’ 2-0 victory on the road at Liberty Sept. 30, which gave them a perfect 4-0 record in C-USA play. Overall, the Aggies are 7-5-1 on the season. Next up for NM State is another road game, this one Sunday, Oct. 8, at Jacksonville State in Alabama. The Aggies will return home for a game against Florida International 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at the NM State Soccer Complex.

Aggie volleyball: The NM State women’s volleyball team is 11-5 on the season and 4-1 in Conference-USA play after falling 3-1 to UTEP at the Pan American Center Oct. 3. A second UTEP matchup Oct. 4 took place after the Bulletin’s press deadline. This weekend, the Aggies travel to Virginia for a pair of matches at Liberty Saturday, Oct. 7, and Sunday, Oct. 8. They will be back home in the Pan Am Center the following weekend, playing Western Kentucky 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, and noon Saturday, Oct. 14, for more conference matches.
