The NM State Aggies could clinch a bowl berth with a victory Saturday, Nov. 4, against Middle Tennessee State. It’s the Homecoming game for NM State, with a 4 p.m. kickoff at Aggie Memorial Stadium.
A win over Conference USA foe MTSU would put the Aggies 5-1 in conference play and give them a 7-3 record overall. That seventh victory is widely considered the number needed to secure an appearance in a postseason bowl game.
Both teams come into the contest after more than a week off. MTSU (2-6 overall, 1-3 in conference) have not played since Oct. 17, when they nearly defeated C-USA leader Liberty on the road, falling 42-35.
The Aggies last played Oct. 24 in Ruston, Louisiana, defeating La Tech 27-24.
