The Las Cruces Arts Association (LCAA) presented its Carol Kennedy Awards Dec. 10 at Big Picture Gallery and Studio, 2001 E. Lohman Ave., Suite 109A, in Arroyo Plaza.

Award winners were LCAA artists Cynthia de Lorenzi, for most creative use of materials; Mary Lou LaCasse, for best use of humor; and Dani Anderson, for best use of color.

Each winner was awarded $50.

The LCAA art exhibition that includes de Lorenzi, LaCasse and Anderson’s award-winning art, continues at Big Picture through Sunday, Jan. 2.

LCAA was established in 1962, according to its website, www.lascrucesarts.org. Its membership has ranged between 50 and 100, and the nonprofit is “reaching out to younger and more diverse members of the arts community.”
