The second round of the 2023 New Mexico IPA Challenge beer fest will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, July 22, in Anthony, New Mexico, as 16 New Mexico brewers vie for best IPA, the New Mexico Brewers Guild (NMBG) said in a news release.
The challenge begins with round one, 2-5 p.m. Saturday, July 15, at the Drinkery by Bosque Brewery in Santa Fe, NMBG said. The second round is July 22 at Public House 28 Brewery, 10092 New Mexico Highway 28 in Anthony, and the third and final round is noon-6 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at Flix Brewhouse in Albuquerque.
The winner of the challenge will be announced after the final competition, NMBG said.
Advance tickets to each event are $30 and include entry, a souvenir glass, 16 samples of the semifinalist
beers, a tasting sheet and a pint of the attendee’s favorite IPA. Designated driver passes are $10 and include entry to the festival at any time, the news release said. Prices will increase by $5 at the door.

NMGB was created “to promote and protect New Mexico’s craft brewers and help cultivate a collaborative spirit across the state and beyond,” according to NMBG’s website.
