Book drive to benefit African high school



Excited by the action on the court, Katy Howard, 9, throws her hands up in delight Saturday, Jan. 23, at the Pan American Center where the New Mexico State University women’s basketball team tangles with Cal-State Bakersfield. Howard was part of a record-breaking crowd of 5,034 fans for a women’s basketball game on hand during the school’s “Pack The Pan Am 2.0” promotion. The Aggies notched their eighth-straight win.
