Janie Franz will be signing books at COAS Books, 317 M. Main St., on Saturday, Aug. 12, from 10 a.m.-noon. She will be showcasing her latest novels, “Simple Gifts” and “Nabaril: Immersion (The Nabaril Series)”.

Franz hails from hardy mountain storytellers of Appalachia and currently makes her home in Las Cruces. With a degree in anthropology from the University of North Dakota with a concentration in English, she possesses an insatiable curiosity, leading her on all sorts of writing adventures.
