Both Aggie teams in action tonight at Pan Am

Posted

The Pan American Center will be bopping Tuesday night, Dec. 12, as both the NM State women and men have games.

The women’s game, against Western New Mexico, starts at 5 p.m. followed by the Aggie men, whose game against Northern New Mexico tips off at 7:30 p.m.

The women are 4-4, having lost their last two games, against UNM Dec. 2, and UC-Irvine Dec. 5.

NM State will play in the Austin Peay Christmas tournament Dec. 20-21 in Clarksville, Tennessee.  They won’t be back home until their Conference USA home opener Jan. 11. Sandwiched in between will be road games at UT-Arlington Dec. 30 and a conference game at UTEP 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6.

The men are 4-6, and this will be their first game since Dec. 2.

Things will kick up a notch this Friday, as the University of New Mexico Lobos come to Las Cruces for the return match of the Rio Grande Rivalry, with tipoff at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, in the Pan American Center.

The Aggies are seeking a better outcome than the Dec. 2 game in Albuquerque, when NM State came up on the short end of a 106-62 score.

After Friday’s Lobo game, the Aggies will be on the road at Stephen F. Austin Dec. 19 and the University of Tulsa Dec. 22 before their next home game, 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, against California Baptist.
