Bulldawgs look to stay unbeaten in district

Las Cruces High School hosts Carlsbad High School (2-6) in a 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, District 6A 3/4 game at the Field of Dreams. The Bulldawgs evened their record to 4-4, and 3-0 in district after defeating Organ Mountain High School 42-0 last week.

Organ Mountain will seek its first victory of the season against Hobbs at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at the Field of Dreams. Hobbs is 3-5 overall and 1-2 in district play. They previously lost to LCHS and Centennial High School.

Centennial (5-2, 3-0 in district) travels to Alamogordo (4-4, 1-2 in district) for a 7 p.m. district game Friday, Oct. 20. The Hawks defeated Carlsbad last week 42-14 on the road.

Mayfield is 4-4 after falling last week 27-13 to 5A District 4 opponent Goddard High School. This week the Trojans travel to play undefeated Roswell High School for a 7 p.m. game Friday, Oct. 20. Roswell defeated top-ranked Artesia High School last week 29-8, to overtake the state’s No. 1 overall spot.

Mesilla Valley Christian School is 6-2 after winning 58-0 last week against Navajo Pine. The SonBlazers host Lordsburg this week for a 6 p.m. game Friday, Oct. 20.
