Posted

Thomas Branigan Memorial Library (TBML) and New Mexico State University are inviting residents to join them in learning the basics of preserving photographs in “Caring for Your Personal Legacy: Photographs,” 1- 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, in the Roadrunner Room on the second floor TBML, 200 E. Picacho Ave.

Archivists will teach techniques to ensure your family photographs, old and new, will be around for years to come, the city said in a news release.

The event includes identifying damage unique to photography that may signal when you need to get a professional involved.

Participants may bring a couple of sample items to be examined during the event, the city said.
