The City of Las Cruces will host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Plaza de Las Cruces, 100 N. Main St. The tree lighting is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The celebration will include live music, photo ops, giveaways, refreshments, food trucks and activities for the whole family, the city said in a news release.
Following events at Plaza de Las Cruces, Rio Grande Theatre, 211 N. Main St., across from the plaza, will show the movie “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” beginning at 8 p.m.
Admission to the movie is $5 per person. Doors will open after the tree-lighting ceremony.
Free city Park-and-Ride service to the event will be available from Las Cruces Railroad Museum, 351 N. Mesilla St. Transportation will be provided by RoadRUNNER Transit.
