Posted

The City of Las Cruces recently recognized members of the Organ Mountain Technical Rescue Squad, Mesilla Valley Search and Rescue, the Las Cruces Fire Department, New Mexico State Police Department and others who worked more than 14 hours to rescue four hikers in the Organ Mountains in June. Vic Villalobos of the MVSAR, said, “Organ Mountain Technical Rescue has been around for 20 years, Mesilla Valley Search and Rescue has been around for 30 year, and we want to thank you, and especially want to thank the Las Cruces Fire Department for what has been able to become a great partnership. We truly work together in the field, and we thank the city for allowing that to happen. It’s great for the public.”
