Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico, FYI+ (Families and Youth Innovations Plus) and Jardin de los Niños will host a screening of the film “Inherent Good,” followed by a panel discussion, 6-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, 4100 Dripping Springs Road.

The screening is free and open to the public and includes dinner.

The panel discussion will include “Inherent Good” director and Emmy award nominee Steve Borst, Las Cruces Mayor Pro Tempore Kasandra Gandara and City Councilor Johana Bencomo, along with members of the local family prosperity project that is using federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to provide direct cash support to Las Cruces families.

The film examines cash support through diverse stories about universal basic income.
