The Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico (CFSNM) will host “100 Who Give Las Cruces” 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at Icebox Brewing Company, 2825 W. Picacho Ave.
CFSNM kicked off the fundraiser in February and will have follow up 100 Who Give events in August and November.
With donations of $100 each from 100 different people in 100 minutes, the goal is to raise at least $10,000 for local charities – a “huge local impact,” the foundation said.
Last year, the 100 Who Give committee and CFSNM raised $12,300 that helped to decrease food insecurity, impacted local arts, supported youth in foster care and assisted “a young girl in realizing her dream of supporting her community,” CFSNM said.
The requested donation for each event is $100.
Upcoming 100 Who Give events are scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 24 at Grounded, 300 N. Main St. downtown; and Thursday, Nov. 9, at CFSNM, 2640 El Paseo Road.
