New Mexico: 2,974 confirmed cases; 705 recovered

Daily statistics

New Mexico: Cases rose from 2,726 April 26 to 2,823 April 27, according to the New Mexico Department of Health (https://cv.nmhealth.org/).

Doña Ana County: 126 positive cases reported, including 10 new cases as of April 27.

Texas: The state Department of Health Services reported 37,171 cases April 28, 690 deaths, 11,786 recoveries. That compares to 25,297 cases and 663 deaths April 27. 207 of Texas’ 254 counties reported cases. El Paso County reported 829 cases April 28, up from 802 cases April 27 and 780 April 26. Mexico reported 15,529 cases April 28, 1,434 deaths and 9,086 recovered. That compares to April 27 totals of 14,677 cases, 1,351 deaths and 8,354 recoveries. There were 381 cases reported in the state of Chihuahua, including 254 in Cuidad Juarez, with 73 deaths in Chihuahua state and 63 deaths in Juarez. 

United States: According to the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/cases-in-us.html), reported for April 28, 981,246 cases, 55,258 deaths. For April 27, 957,875, 53,922 deaths.

Worldwide: news.google.com reported 3,083,467 cases April 28, a rate of 396.5 per million. That includes 915,988 recoveries and 213,824 deaths.
