Tombaugh Elementary fifth-grade cousins Gabriella Volpato, left, and Jamee-Lynn Pacheco have started a Kindness Club. In December, they donated socks and homemade cards to the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department for distribution to nursing homes. In January, the cousins dropped off candy and thank-you cards to the staff at Memorial Medical Center. In February, they held a neighborhood food drive. They delivered the food they collected to God’s Pantry at University United Methodist Church Feb. 15. Gabriella is the daughter of Lisa and Joey Volpato. Jamee-Lynn is the daughter of Bobbi-Lynn and James Pacheco. To donate or for more information, contact Linda Buttram at 575-740-9545.
