Creativity helping make sales

Posted

Fall is here and as temps are cooling so is the real estate market.

Traditionally, the housing market slows down the final quarter of the year as buyers prepare for the holidays and plans are put on hold until the first of the year. While high interest rates also have put a damper on plans to purchase, the encouraging news is the homes sold are still holding strong in final closing prices.

Sellers, Realtors, and lenders are all getting creative in their efforts to offer lender incentives, point buydowns, and closing cost assistance. These incentives have made it possible for buyers to get into homes and sellers to still get top dollar for their homes. Homes are still closing in the Mesilla Valley for 98.5 percent of the asking price.

It's still a great time to be a homeowner in Las Cruces.
