Donations sought for Kitty Glitter fundraiser

Posted

It's time to clean out your jewelry box!

Project Save a Kitten needs your donations for its fall 2023 Kitty Glitter fundraiser jewelry sale.

Kitty Glitter will be held 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at Peace Lutheran Church, 1701 Missouri Ave., at the corner of Missouri and Locust Street.

“We have a large interior open space with room to spread out all of the jewelry, plus plenty of parking,” said Kitty Glitter coordinator Jackye Meinecke. “A banner on the corner and yard signs (will) make us easy to find.”

Project Save a Kitten accepts all kinds of jewelry for the fundraiser: including costume, vintage and less-than-perfect items,” Meineke said in a news release. “We also encourage donations of jewelry boxes, small decorative items, lace and linens and other small treasures.”

Contact Meineke at 575- 680-7749 and gardens@zianet.com to have your donation picked up. Or drop it off during regular business hours at Better Life Pet Foods, 315 S. Telshor Blvd. or Ol’ Gringo Chille Company, 1447 Certified Place, Building 1-A, off Lakeside Drive.

If you don’t have items to donate to the sale, cash donations are welcome, Meineke said.

“Project Save a Kitten volunteers raise funds each year to pay for a variety of needs for kittens and cats, from kitten formula and medical care to transport,” she said. “We also fund spay and neuter for felines.”
