Fashion show to benefit Jardin de los Niños families

La Tienda de Jardin's “A Change of Seasons” fashion show and luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Amador Live, 302 S. Main St.

Proceeds from the fashion show will benefit both education and family programs at Jardin de los Niños, the Las Cruces nonprofit that provides education and childcare to children and families struggling with homelessness.

“The fashion show will feature both women’s and men’s clothing from La Tienda (“A Unique Boutique”), including jewelry (by Kendra Scott) and accessories, to complement every season,” said Jardin CEO Michelle Adames, Ph.D.

Tickets are $30 and are available online at https://give.jardinlc.org/fashionshow2022 or for purchase at La Tienda, 335 La Colonia Ave., at the southwest corner of Alameda Boulevard and Main Street.

Event sponsorships are $300.

"Our goal is to bring the community together for a great cause to support our children and family services at Jardin de los Niños,” Adames said. “La Tienda's A Change of Seasons fashion show will provide an enjoyable experience of seeing collections from every season, food, fun and camaraderie."

La Tienda’s hours of operation are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.

Donations are welcome.

“La Tienda de Jardin is a unique boutique offering previously loved clothing, jewelry, home décor, art, and collectibles for sale to the public,” according to the La Jardin website. Most items are for sale at a fraction of their original cost.

The store is staffed by a large crew of long-time Jardin and La Tienda volunteers.
