Lundeen Inn of the Arts owner Linda Lundeen has written and published a book now posted on Amazon.

“Tales from the Inn Side: An Anthology of Stories that Found Life at Lundeen Inn of the Arts,” was published earlier this month.

A book signing will be 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at Lundeen Inn of the Arts, 618 S. Alameda Blvd.

The book includes stories of guests, ghosts, miracles, laughter and the history of the Inn,” said Las Cruces artist Kathy Morrow, who has been showing her work at the Lundeen Gallery for 41 years, she said. A showing of her artwork will be part of the book-signing event, including her two newest kinetic originals and “a whole wall of art,” Morrow said.

“Linda Lundeen, debut author, is world famous for the tales she tells her guests at the breakfast table of the iconic Lundeen Inn of the Arts,” amazon.com said.

“The Inn's guests come from all walks of life and from all over the world: plumbers to politicians to journalists and broadcasters to professors to world-renowned actors and actresses to film directors and movie producers, to singers and musicians, to engineers and even nuclear physicists,” the website said about the book. “Visiting from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North and South America, guests generally leave three comments in the Inn's guest books: ‘We love your stories!’ ‘We love you!’ and ‘Please write a book!’ So, by popular demand, here is that often-requested book.”

The two most popular tales with the guests are "The Man Who Broke My Bidet" and "The Woman Who Almost Drowned in Her Spaghetti," the website said. “Linda is a born entertainer and storyteller, and when she was a teenager growing up in Albuquerque, she was told by Vivian Vance, Lucy's sidekick on ‘I Love Lucy,’ that she should think about an acting career. The Inn's Great Room is (Lundeen’s) stage, the audience is made up of her guests, and her daily life is her script.”

The book gives “an inn-side tour of the Lundeen family's unique history and the Inn's 43-year creative history,” the website said. The ‘Lundeen Dream Team’ (is how) Linda refers to herself, her daughter, Lydia, and her son, Gered. Linda’s late husband, Jerry Lundeen, a Las Cruces architect, first conceived of the inn in 1965, amazon.com said. Shortly before he died in 2017, Jerry told Linda, “Finish your book."
