Former Aggie vies for AL ERA title

Former New Mexico State University pitcher Kyle Bradish, now pitching in the Major Leagues for the resurgent Baltimore Orioles is challenging for the American League earned run average title.

As of this writing, Bradish was second in the AL with a 3.03 ERA, behind Gerrit Cole’s 2.95 and ahead of Sonny Gray’s 3.06.

As of Aug. 29, Bradish was 9-6 on the season, with 130 strikeouts for the Orioles, who had the best record in the American League at 81-49, and holding a 2.5-game lead over Tampa Bay for first place in the AL East.

Bradish, from Goodyear, Arizona, pitched for the Aggies for three seasons from 2016-2018.
