The Boys & Girls Club announced that its annual breakfast fundraiser, scheduled for April, will feature three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings as keynote speaker.
The 16th annual Lou and Mary Henson Community Breakfast will be held at 7 a.m. on April 18 at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum. The breakfast is a key fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces, in support of its programs and services for local youth. Past speakers have included NFL star players and Olympic athletes.
Kerri Walsh Jennings, with three gold medals and one bronze, was described in a news release as “the most decorated beach volleyball Olympian of all time, arguably one of the best volleyball players of all time.” Her achievements include 135 career wins, three world championship titles and 77 AVP championships. She is a managing partner of the Pro Volleyball Federation’s Sean Diego Mojo-major league volleyball franchise and cofounder of the nonprofit p1440.
