'Gypsy' final performances


“Gypsy: A Musical Fable” has its final three performances this weekend at Las Cruces Community Theatre, 313 N. Main St. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 16-17, and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 18. Tickets are $17 for adults, $14 for seniors, students and miliary and $10 for children. Tickets will also be available at the box office before each performance; reservations are recommended. “Gypsy” is loosely based on the memoirs of burlesque entertainer Gypsy Rose Lee (1911-70). The LCCT production is directed by Constance Hasapopoulos, with a cast that includes Janet Beatty-Payne, Cassandra Galban, David Edwards, Dustin Wright, Ed Montez, Teddy Aspen Sanchez and Rachel Thomas-Chappel. Richard Fredrick is the costume designer, Anna Robillard is co-choreographer, Doug Roby (also in the cast) is the set designer and Marvel Arias-Anderson is the music director.
