Las Cruces artist and first-time children’s book author Renee Short has published “The Joy of Everyday Things,” which she describes as “a picture book for all ages.”
“As the book chronicles Amee’s journey, we are all reminded to seek our joy,” Short said, and it “allows the reader and listener to learn without being taught.
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Short “finds joy in a creative lifestyle,” she said. She expresses her creativity by writing children’s stories, light-verse poetry, graphic novels and screenplays. Short also is an avid animal lover, outdoor enthusiast and world traveler.
