The Doña Ana County Human Society (DACHS) was recently awarded a $10,000 grant by the Pets for the Elderly Foundation, DACHS said in a news release.
The foundation “has been a long time partner to DACHS by investing in our programs for nearly 10 years,” the news release said. “With the tremendous need for veterinary assistance for low-income families, the foundation expanded its reach and offered participating organizations the opportunity to apply for a one-time grant funding. The generous grant DACHS received will provide … veterinary assistance vouchers for under-resourced senior citizens age 60-plus living in Doña Ana County.”
