Hygiene drive

Students at the New America School-Las Cruces completed their eighth annual hygiene drive recently, collecting 400 pounds of hygiene products. They donated these items, which included soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, laundry detergent and cleaning products to the Mesilla Valley Community of Hope. New America Schoolis located in the heart of Las Cruces, serving about 250 students. Established in 2012, the school’s mission is to “empower new immigrants, English-language learners and the academically underserved with the educational tools and support they need to maximize their potential, succeed and live the American Dream.”
