The Organ Mountain High School track program continued a strong season with wins in both the boys and girls varsity team competitions at its own invitational Saturday, March 26 at the Field of Dreams.
The Organ Mountain boys got first-place finishes from: James Limon, 100 meters (11.10) and 400 meters (51.69); Brett Bybee, 800 meters (2:06.06), 1,600 meters (4:35.81) and 3,200 meters (10:21); Jonathan Torres, pole vault, (13-6); Tyson Hobbs, triple jump (39-9); and Nathanyal Chavez, long jump (20-0).
The Organ Mountain boys also won the 1,600 meter relay (3:45.22); the medley relay (3:46.51) and the 800 relay (1:31.99).
Other first-place finishers included: Aiden Mitchell, Centennial, 110 hurdles (18.22) and 300 hurdles (44.0); Davion Smith, Mayfield, high jump (6-1); and Andrew Bleimeyer, Mayfield, discus, (127-5). The Centennial boys also won the 400 relay (44.80) and the 3,200 meter relay (8:39.36).
First-place girl finishers from Organ Mountain were: Marisa Harrington, 100 meters (12.99) and 200 meters (26.31); Shaolin Munir, javelin, (124-0); Wren Hofacket, 3,200 meters (14:06.14); Joselyn Fierro, 300 hurdles (52.38); Gia Fernandez, triple jump (31-2 ½); and Josslynn Ochoa, 1,600 meters (6:01.07).
The Organ Mountain girls also won the 800 relay (1:47.74), the medley relay (4:41.34), the 400 relay (47.0) and the 1,600 relay (4:26.26).
Other first-place girls were: Aveolela Pili, Centennial, shot put (39-7) and discus (117-10); Felicia Apodaca, Centennial, 800 meters (2:35.44); Jayln McDonald, Mayfield, pole vault (9-3) and 100 hurdles (18.47); and Leah Tapia, Las Cruces, long jump (16-2 ½).
Las Cruces High girls also won the 3,200 meter relay (11:29.42).
