Libraries present spring gardening workshop

Posted

The Las Cruces Public Libraries announced a weekend spring garden workshop open to the public from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16.

The workshop consists of crafting activities appropriate for all ages, according to a news release, and will feature presentations and booths from community organizations. The location is outdoors, unless weather intervenes, at the Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Avenue, as well in the library’s Childrens Craft and Roadrunner rooms.

Topics include seed saving, making newspaper pots and seed balls. Participants may also learn about the seed library and how to get started on spring gardening with a selection of related books available at the library.

Registration is requested online, via: Las-Cruces.assabetinteractive.com/calendar.

More information is available via library assistant Phoebe Yoder, 575-528-3406 or pyoder@lascruces.gov.
