The Memorial Medical Center (MMC) Art Initiative Committee (AIC) recently met with the MMC Auxiliary Committee to present checks from local artists who sold their artwork displayed at the hospital.
This collaborative effort aims to not only beautify the medical center but also support the vital services provided by the auxiliary to the Las Cruces community.
The selection of artwork displayed throughout the hospital has garnered positive feedback from staff, volunteers, visitors, and patients alike.
We are thrilled when we receive positive feedback on the artwork our committee has selected to display. It brings joy to see how it positively impacts the hospital environment.
In an even more heartwarming gesture, the artists generously share a portion of the proceeds from their sold artwork with the MMC Auxiliary. These contributions serve as a significant boost to the auxiliary's ability to serve the Las Cruces community effectively.
The auxiliary, comprised of dedicated volunteers, plays an indispensable role in the local healthcare community. Their primary focus is to provide various services to patients, their families, and the wider community, with the ultimate goal of enhancing overall well-being and the healthcare experience.
Volunteers within the auxiliary selflessly devote their time and effort to support MMC. They lend a helping hand in diverse tasks, including patient support, administrative duties, and day-to-day activities. By creating a positive and supportive environment for patients and their families, their presence ensures that everyone feels cared for during their time at the medical center.
Through this collaborative effort among the auxiliary, AIC and local artists, MMC continues to strengthen its commitment to providing excellent healthcare services to Las Cruces. With art enriching the healing environment and the dedicated volunteers of the auxiliary, the medical center's impact reaches far beyond medical treatment, fostering a sense of warmth, comfort, and compassion for all who walk through its doors.
