Las Cruces author Ronald Williams has published a new book, “Trojan,” a sci-fi thriller novel.
In the book, “something unearthed by a rock collector has been unleased in the sleepy town of Las Cruces, New Mexico.” Disillusioned Detroit cop Yogi Glass, crime lab supervisor Maria Torres and Torres’ 11-year-old computer whiz nephew, Daniel Stuart, “form an unlikely bond as they struggle to survive, to discover what was unearthed, and to stop it before it destroys them, the town, and ultimately, the world.”
A Philadelphia native, Williams came to Las Cruces in 1975 to attend New Mexico State University and participate in a five-year program with the NASA White Sands Test Facility (WSTF). After graduating with a B.S. in mechanical engineering, Williams moved to Houston to work at the Johnson Space Center for 30 years before retiring. In 2005, a temporary assignment brought him back to WSTF and Las Cruces.
He and his wife, Beverly, have been married for 28 years.
